Submission Guidelines

Hark! New Era Publishing considers only original and previously unpublished works of quality fiction and creative non-fiction for publication. We are seeking book length manuscripts and short story collections. We only consider manuscripts submitted through our electronic submissions manager. Work received by mail, fax, or email will be not be read.

Please submit only one work at a time. When submitting, please include a query letter, a brief biography, and the first twenty pages of your manuscript. Your submission should be double-spaced, in Times New Roman twelve point font, and have one inch margins. If you are submitting to multiple publishing companies simultaneously, please indicate this in the query letter. The biography should be no longer than two pages. Please use a readable font, such as Times New Roman, for the query letter and biography.

Our turnaround time is two to four weeks, but this may vary depending on staff workload. If you have not heard from us after twenty-eight days, feel free to inquire about your submission status by email. If you are submitting to other publishing companies simultaneously and your work gets accepted elsewhere, please inform us as soon as possible by email.
